Hello from Germany

Hello my name is Anna and i am from Germany.
I dont spaek your language please excuse me, if i am in the wrong thread. The reason why i come here in this forum is, that i am searching for information about my Fjord Horse.
His name is Djarvie and he was born at 18.04.2007 in nederlands. I bought him by an Horse trader in "Ahaus".

His father is Orsta I-71 and his mother Swabbertje.

I have no information about where he is born or grow up. For his age he is very little (1,33m) and for that i think the opfok wasnt good.

Welcome here! I think the one who can answer your question best over here is Anita. She has a beautiful database of a lot of fjordhorses from inside and outside the Netherlands. I must say the mares name Swabbertje rings a bell, but I do not know yet, whát bell

On this forum there are at least a few Orsta's. I think the owners will post in this topic soon

I have found a foto of Orsta at the internet and his descent too. Iam really interested of where my Pony was born.
Is there someone who knows a Horse trader in Ahaus? Hes got a lot of Ponys, camels and so on. They are all very cheap und thin. Iam interested of from where he got his horses. My Pony is very beautiful and inteligent. The trader says he was too little and aggressive and for that he cant be a breeding stallion. Greetings :-)

Djarvie is cute! He doesn't look at all small in the pictures! You look good together.
I'm Megan and I own two fjordhorses. Zero and Dorinn. Zero's father is also Orsta. See pictures below. I can see some resemblance with Djarvie.
I'm sorry that I can't tell you more about Djarvie's mother or a breeder in Ahaus(?) Ahaus doesn't sound Dutch to me. I've never heard of a place in Holland with that name. Maybe Anita, also on this forum, can help you finding out more about Djarvies background.

Yes, Ahaus is in Germany near the border of nederlands. Hes got a nederland Pass and was imported to Germany. Greets

As far as I can see Djarvie is the only child of Swabbertje. Together with his mother he was at a breedshow (Zuchtschau auf Deutch) in 2007 in Vorden. Bella or other people around her made pictures of him at this show.

Esther was at the Event, where he and lots of other fjord horses were presented to the jury of the dutch Fjordstudbook.

I am really interested, of why a so beautiful and smart Pony like my Djarvie was going to such a bad horse trader. When i hafe bought him he was very very thinny and aggressive. Now he is the best Pony of the world.

I make as many pictures at these shows as I can, that way we can look back and sometimes help people like you!! It's always nice to make people happy!!
Ik never thought that he would stay so small because he wasn't particularly small at the show, but you never know..
It's good that Anita knows at what show he was, otherwise I never would have thought about these pictures.

Yes, he is very small. When i bought him last september he was only 1,26m and very thinny. Something went very wrong with him. At this time he was freshly castrated. Now he is a bit over 1,30 and not thinny anymore. Since 3 Month i ride him carefully western. He is very intelligent and likes the working with a rider. When he came to me last year, there was no respect or trust for humans. For this reason he was very cheap. Now he is the best Children Pony i know.
